My Surprise!

This is what I got today at the front door and didn't know it was there! Grant came home and said I guess you didn't hear anyone at the door, because there is a package for you outside. Our doorbell doesn't work so if I am not downstairs I don't hear anyone knocking...anyways he made me close my eyes and then he handed it to me! Yay! This is the story of the truck rug...I found the cutest bedding at Pottery Barn kids of course that is trucks, but its so expensive of course for everything I wanted and this rug matched the bedding. I ended up finding a really adorable bedding set at Target that was trucks too, so I thought to myself I can be good and buy this cute bedding that is super cheap and buy my expensive truck rug instead. Well, I have been stalking this rug online all the time and it did end up going on sale from $250 to $169 well, this is way lower but still expensive to me so I just couldn't "pull the trigger" and actually get it, but I still stalked the rug just to make sure it didn't go lower in price. I know how sad do I sound right now, but really it's so stinking cute and its just going to make Cole's room even cuter with my truck theme! So that's my crazy story! I am so shocked my husband got this for me and I never knew! Thanks babe, I love you so much! Oh, he knows how crazy I am too!

Fishes and other Fun stuff!

My friend Tiffany who is mommy to Ava's best friend Chloe is off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we are always trying to think of something to do together on one of these days. We decided to take them to the big Bass Pro Shop down the road from our house it has a huge fish tank that Ava loves! Chloe was a little nervous that the fishes would be able to get her but then she got used to the idea of it. We had some people take a picture of all four of us since we never have any of all of us, but now I know that's not a good idea at this point for me, since I look like a huge cow now that I am in my eighth month of pregnancy!

Both the girls got in the off road vehicles and pretended to drive! Scary to think this could be them when they are sixteen! Yikes! We had fun together as always.

Tagged!

My blog friend and old high school friend Joanna tagged everyone that reads her blog. I will play along since I always read her blog. I'm not sure how this works but I think this is what you're supposed to do...First, the rules.1. link back to the person who tagged you. (did it, above)2. post these rules on your blog.
3. share six unimportant things about yourself.4. tag people at the end of your entry.

My Six Facts:

1. I always have to be wearing lipstick! I mean always, I have super pale lips that I just hate so I feel they must always have some color!

2. I take two showers a day, usually no matter what I did during the day! I love to feel clean before bed and in the morning it helps me feel awake and refreshed, I didn't think this was too weird until I realized not many other people do this.

3. I watch All My Children and One Life to Live! I know know, but really I am not watching them during the afternoon hours, I tivo them and watch them either when Ava is napping or at night or in the morning before she is awake! I know, I have issues...but I am addicted, they have even made me cry now that I am prego!

4. I love love pizza! I could eat it everyday, and I am really not that picky about it, of course I love great pizza but I will eat just about any pizza, and if I don't eat it you know its bad!

5. I must admit I read other peoples blogs that I don't even know...I even copied this from Joanna's friend who said she is a blog stalker, I am too! I love it!

6. I love the candy, circus peanuts they are the soft sugary orange candy that looks like peanuts, not to many people I know like these! In fact I wish I was eating them now!

Okay, now I am supposed to tag four other people...I have already read Joanna's so here are my four people, Sara H., Tiffany D., Denise O., and Kelley F. Okay I don't have a lot of friends that blog so it was easy to pick these people, we will see if any of them do it!

Big Girl Bed!

Last night was the first night for Ava in her "big girl bed". I have to admit I was super nervous that she wouldn't go sleep in it or that she would get out of her bed in the middle of the night. Miracle of miracles happened neither one happened! Success! She slept all night in her bed and when she got up she was sitting in the corner of the bed, as happy as could be! Not that this took out all my worries I am already praying she does good tonight and for her nap today in her bed! Am I the only one who is crazy for being a little stressed about the transition from crib to bed?
Okay here is an update on Cole's room...looking a little messy and crazy, hard to believe there will be a little guy in there in about ten weeks! Yikes!

Back to the Pool!

Yep, we are at the park again with the pool! Well, what can I say this is what you do when you live in Las Vegas and don't own a pool of your own. Ava always is saying "swim" so we took her to the really nice pool area with grass! This is the same place you can't bring your camera so I snick one photo while we were taking a break. She had a great time as always splashing around, jumping off the edge of the pool into her daddy's arms over and over again!

After we left we were all hungry so we headed to In-Out- Burger. Doesn't what Ava is eating look yummy, fries, tomatoes and half a bun with cheese! Yum! On our way home she passed out and took a long nap! It was a nice Friday afternoon! Oh except for the part where I was having "fake" contractions on the car ride home! I never had those with Ava not until the end when she was due. Has anyone else out there experienced this?

Mason's Birthday Party

On Sunday was Ava's friend Mason's birthday party. It was at a place called Bounce U. They have huge bounce areas for kids. Ava had the best time since she is such a crazy fearless girl she was bouncing along with all the kids in the big bounce areas and she LOVED the slide with her daddy they went down it tons of times. Sorry the pictures didn't come out so well, but it was so much fun to watch her instead of getting great pictures. I was so sad I couldn't bounce it looked like so much fun! Next year we will have to go back when I am not pregnant!

Ava's friend Haley got hurt pretty early going down the slide, the poor thing twisted her wrist! Which of course made me nervous the rest of the time that Ava would get hurt. The other picture is Ava and the birthday boy Mason playing at the drinking fountain this made the two of them happy for a few minutes until we had to get them away since they were getting soaked! We had a great time at Bounce U and will be back for sure! Thanks Mason and his mommy Patricia for inviting us to go! Welcome to the two year old age, it has been challenging for us!

Pictures For Sara!

Okay Sara here is Cole's room in progress! Hopefully my unprofessional pictures I just took shows how cute the color came out and hopefully you can see how cute the dresser is!! It matches the bedding so good! More pictures will follow as it becomes more of a room. I will also take some pictures of Ava's room once her big girl bed gets put up along with her new pink trim around her room. Sorry Ava looks so ratty, we haven't gotten ready for the day, we are lazy!

So I also had to post these pictures from last night, on the way to Costco she fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep for our shopping trip, so this is the second time its happened at Costco, gotta love it when your child sleeps threw shopping! She woke up and we all went to Borders and she checked out the latest new books out there!

M&M World Fun!?!?!

Yesterday Tiffany and I decided to do something different with Ava and Chloe. So we took advantage of living in Las Vegas and took them to the M&M World. Well, as you can see by their faces they were not overly thrilled with M&M World, I guess it's hard to please 2 year old's! They have a 3D show that we took them to that was only about 10-15 minutes long that they sat threw. Which again not very amused. I am thinking if we let them free out of their strollers to run around the 4 floors they would have been happier, but I am also thinking that most likely would have resulted in lots of things breaking! We tried to go to Coca Cola World afterwards but they were remodeling so we didn't get to do that but the good ol' Coca Cola bear was there, which Ava wanted to nothing to do with so she just covered her eyes!

We ended the day going back to NY NY where we got ice cream and sat at the fake NY streets where there was pretend doors that the girls loved playing at. I think this was there favorite part of the day!

Long Beach Trip- Part Two

On Sunday we went to the Orange County Fair. It was really big and nice, I have really only been to the Fresno Fair and it 3x's the size! We didn't make it around the whole fair. We did make it to the KiddieLand area which had lots of rides and lots of small rides for even Ava to ride on! She of course loved it! Until she had a breakdown in the middle of the fair and ran on the cement and cut both of her knees up!

After the knee incident we ate fair food and were all better! She loves to ride on her daddy but hasn't quit got the concept of having to really hold on to him just yet. The other picture is of a camera you can stand in, Grant tried to take a picture of the two of us but she then flashed him, which was pretty funny! We had a really nice getaway from Las Vegas, we are so happy that Grant's brother's family lives there, and that its really only around a 4 hour drive to go! Maybe someday we will join them in living there! Thank you Garrett and Alisia for letting us stay at your house and taking over your bedroom!

Long Beach Trip- Part One!

We left for Long Beach last Thursday afternoon to get out of the Vegas heat and visit with Grant's brothers family who lives there. The first day on Friday we ended up going to Ikea, and we bought a big girl bed for Ava!! Yay! She is still in a crib at 2 1/2 but she still loves her crib! I needed to get her into a bed though since Cole will be using her crib when he comes. We also got Cole a dresser for his room, it was just what I wanted a red dresser! The pictures on top are Ava, Kalea, and Kalani at Ikea. And the other one is Ava giving Kalani a kiss! She loved hanging out with her cousins, and she just loved Kalea she let Kalea take her around Ikea, it was really cute! We even paid Kalea $2 bucks for "babysitting" Ava at Ikea!!

The next morning we went to Seal Beach where we went to one of the best places to get breakfast burritos, its called Nick's and it's so good! Then in the afternoon after the kids napped we headed down to Bolsa Beach to play in the water and sand!

Grant also took Ava out in the ocean and she loved every minute of it! She didn't want him to take her back to the beach to play even though the she was so cold! She finally got warm and continued her play time in the sand!

Silly Dancing or Ghetto Dancing??

My friend Tiffany and I signed our daughters up for silly dancing she found the place on the Internet and it looked good it was for moms and daughters. We were all super excited to go, Ava was waiting by the door for Chloe to come and get her this morning to go! The picture to you left is the place it was at! I hope you can catch how terrible it was! Everything around was super old and in a bad area, we were hesitate to get out of the car and go in. When we got in it got worse. The two ladies there looked us up and down and pretty much were rude to us...it goes on and on from there..it was hot, not nice people, and everything was old, and oh by the way we are snobs. So of course we left!

When we left the ghetto dance place, we felt bad for the girls not getting to go, since their moms are snobs! So we took them to Toys R Us to run around and play! After that we all went to eat lunch at Jason's Deli which is one of my favorite places to go, I take all my friends that visit me from CA there, its the best!

There is a Gap across the street from Jason's Deli so of course we headed over there after lunch. When we got there everything was 25% off including the clearance section, so we got the girls the same shorts and tank tops! Next time we do an outing together we will dress them alike! Well it was a funny and adventurous day for us!

Costco

Last night we went to Costco, and Ava hadn't taken a nap during the day...so this is what happened when we got there. She slept right threw the trip like this even after when we ate dinner there! Sorry had to post this it never happens, she doesn't go to sleep when we are running around EVER!

How Cute Am I!!

This morning we had to take in my car to get the oil changed so before we went to do it we stopped and ate bagels accross the street. I just had to post these pictures of Ava, it is very rare to catch her smiling when I have the camera, she is not quite at the age when she will actually look at you and smile when you tell her too.

Saturday Night...Wayne Brady!!

Saturday evening we asked my mom to watch Ava so we could go out to dinner and then watch the UFC fight that was showing at Green Valley Ranch Casino for free, okay yes, I do watch UFC I know it's weird but it is very random how we came to be fans...you can ask me later if you want to. So back to what we were going to do, so we had dinner at Green Valley and then went over to where they were showing the fight. When we got there it was a big room with a bar and some tables that were only for VIP people and everyone else had to stand to watch the fight, well that wasn't going to work for my 7 month prego self! Grant thought maybe we should just drive over to the strip and go to Mandalay Bay where the fight was actually happening that night so we did that with no luck when we got there. We ended up thinking that our night was going to be a bust and we would just end up going home early. So I called my friend Tiffany who is the manager at the Venetian Box office and she offered to get us in to see Wayne that night, it was about 8 when I talked to her and by 9 we were at the show! How stinking lucky are we! She put us in the 4Th row and it was a hilarious show! Now this is a show I would recommend seeing if you are in Vegas, you don't have to be a Wayne Brady fan to enjoy it is a improve show and a singing and dancing show. This I have to say is my second time going to see Wayne, the first time I went with Tiffany and some other friends for a girls night out and the second time was just as good! We even got to meet him afterwards and take a picture with him! Thank you, thank you- Tiffany!! We had a wonderful time!Since this is about Wayne here is the first time I saw his show with some girlfriends! Thanks Tiffany for both times! I have to give a little "shout out" to her too, to write how grateful I am to have met her here in Vegas we have become good friends fast, and we both have little ones the same age who are friends!-Thanks Tiffany for being my friend!! (: Of course too, I have met a few others who I am thankful to have met and made friends with!

Saturday Fun!

Yes you guessed it, we went to swimming on Saturday...I guess thats what you do when you live in Las Vegas! We found another public pool area which was super nice, it even had grass which is also a big deal here! Unfornately I couldn't get many cute pictures of Ava in the pool this time since I got stopped with my camera, no cameras allowed here.

Here is Ava taking a little break from the pool having a juice box, and look there is the actual grass I was talking about!!!
