Christmas Day!

Thanks to grandpa and grandma Ono Ava came downstairs to a kitchen! She was so surprised and excited and has been playing nonstop with it! Daddy was up past one putting it together he had lots of fun too with the kitchen!
Ava also got a pig that walks and oinks, she gave him lots of kisses and hugs she loves animals!
Cole was pretty excited by his new doggy rattle daddy got him.
After our morning of opening gifts at our house we went to my parents for a few more presents and for some yummy Christmas dinner.
Makenna my friends daughter who my mom watches came over later in the day and she had lots of fun running around with Ava's daddy.

                                                             More presents for Ava!!
Grant got a book about Japan, he can read up on it before we take a trip there... someday!
Cole got some super cute new socks that look like little shoes!

Cole wanted to play Santa Claus at the end of the day! We had a very nice and relaxing Christmas Day and feel blessed as always to have two healthy babies who also happen to be super cute!!

Christmas Eve Night

I bought Ava and Cole matching PJ's for Christmas so the before they went to bed we tried to take some cute pictures of the two of them. As you can see they were less than thrilled to be posed by the tree taking them!

Ava got to open her one gift before Christmas, she got a Sponge Bob doll, again not to thrilled. She was pretty sick at the time with a cold, so I am pretty sure that is why this was all less than thrilling.
Here is Cole watching Ava open her present and showing off his BIG belly at the same time. Well, not to exciting of a Christmas Eve for us, we had plans of going to church and going to an outdoor Christmas thing but all was cancelled since Ava had gotten sick, oh well there is always next year!

Lot of Lights!

Last night we met our friends Jen and BJ at Ethel M. Ethel is a chocolate factory in Vegas and they also have a pretty big cactus garden outside. Every year they put tons and tons of Christmas lights out in the garden.
Here we are in our "forced" group photo that I insisted we do, both Jen and BJ complained!
Here is Ava so not wanting to sit still! She was having so much fun running wild with Haley and Cameron on the walk ways they all ran around screaming!
Santa was missing that night I guess he was making toys. We did get to sit in his chair.
For the life of me I didn't couldn't get a good picture of the 3 kids together this is the best I got, and I took a lot! Look how cute Haley is smiling away for the picture!
Ava didn't know if this candy cane was real so she went ahead and licked it, yes licked it... if she gets some weird mouth infection I guess we will know why!
Cole was actually awake for the whole experience he wanted to see the lights I guess. I think we will have to do a few more Christmas things before Thursday since Ava had so much fun.

Snowmen and a Wintery Walk

We are taking full advantage in the fact that Vegas got lots of snow yesterday!
When Grant got home last night him and Ava went outside and made a snowman. Cole and I stayed in this time but just came out to take a picture. It was super cold last night, but again we have to take advantage of the snow!
Today we went for a walk around our neighborhood to check out the snow that was left. It was a pretty chilly walk but nice to get out of the house. Cole even stayed awake for a while to check out the snow too.
Here is Ava checking it out too, all bundled up!

This is the view from the stroller, as you can see one side of the street had some snow left while the other side was all melted from the sun hitting that side.
After our walk we came back to the house and Ava played a bit in the snow.
We will miss you snow. Maybe you will come back on Monday like the weather man says! Until then!

SNOW!

This is what it looks like outside our front window! Snow!
Ava had to go out in it today and walk around for a bit! She tried to get some snow on her tongue too! It snowed on Monday this week for along time and it is snowing way more today!
This is in front of our house, we are just so excited today by all the snow!
Okay so maybe I am most excited and Cole not so much, I think he just thought it was a little chilly outside!

Birthday Date Night!

Yesterday was Grant's birthday! We got to go on a real date night with out the baby and toddler!
We ate dinner at Macaroni Grill and ate uninterrupted a whole meal even dessert! We even had lots of conversation, who knew people could actually talk and eat dinner!?
After our super yummy dinner we headed to the strip. We got tickets to the cirque show Mystere. It was such an amazing and entertaining show! Okay a little mush on the blog (sorry). Grant, I just want to tell you that I am so happy to be sharing this life with you, I feel like every year it is just getting better, five years ago it was a little rough in our marriage, and I feel like we are growing together and getting closer as time passes. Thank you for all you do for myself, Ava and Cole thank you for all your hard work you do for our family and that I am able to stay home and take care of our children. I know I don't say it enough either but I love you and thank you for being a wonderful husband! I had a great night with you on your birthday and look forward to all the other birthdays and events that are to come in our life together.

* Side note I have been trying to finish this blog all day now, the kids are having one of those days! Oh well, I still wouldn't trade it for anything!

Off the subject, it has been SNOWING all day here in Vegas!! I love it, its been amazing! Real snow too my car at least has a 1/2 in on it!

Okay so Grant got up my video of Cole in his bouncer. Here he is getting crazy in his bouncer, he really can go at it kicking his legs and waving his arms when he wants too! And yes he is sitting on our kitchen island, no worries I was right there with him not a bad parent I promise!

10 WEEKS!

This is what Cole does all day...
Cole had his 2 month shots yesterday, and he weighed in at 15.2 lbs. and is 10 weeks old today!
To say the least he is a very healthy boy. We are so in love with our "little" boy and so happy to have him and I feel super blessed to have Cole and Ava and that they are healthy and doing wonderful.

* side note~ I tried to upload a video of Cole in his bouncer, and for the life of me I can't get it to upload! It's driving me nuts, anyone else have this issue on their blogger account?? Ugh!

Christmas Fun

Not to far from our house is Bass Pro Shop, it's basically a huge outdoor sporting, hunting equipment type place. They have Santa and activities for kids threw December. So we thought it would be fun to take Ava this afternoon. Here we are in the line for Santa, you get a free picture with him! Well, Ava was not to fond of him but I did get the picture but I had to be in it with her. Oh well.
Cole stayed out of our Santa picture this time, since he was happily asleep!
Here is Ava writing to Santa about what she would like for Christmas. Look at the concentration on her face!
The letter to Santa is done! I think she wrote in a secret writing that only Santa can read!
Dropping the letter off in his mailbox!
After the activities we all wondered around the store. Here is Ava driving me in a hunting type vehicle! This is her favorite thing to do at this store is "drive" the "cars" and AT V's! Good times!

My child won't sit on Santa's lap, but she will freely hug a scary cheetah! Seriously this cheetah was scary!!
Here she is hugging another animal, Grant and I weren't sure what this animal is... hmm. We just told her it was Santa's reindeer!
After the fun at Bass Pro we headed over to Bellagio to see the Christmas display at the atrium. It was beautiful as always. This is one of the things that is great about living here we can just drive over to the strip to check stuff like this out and not have to stay long.
Here are Ava and Cole at the atrium, Ava still does NOT like her brother to be on her, funny girl!
We headed outside of the Bellagio to try and catch the water show and we did end up seeing the end of one and hanging out for a while and we got to see another one! Another thing that never gets old is watching the dancing water!
Cole was not to excited about the water he just wanted to eat... no surprise there! We had a really fun day, hopefully more fun Christmas things to come this month, maybe the snow next weekend?
