4 weeks!!

Today our little guys is four weeks old! We couldn't love him more!He's a little chunker who weighs 11 lbs. 2 oz! We are so thankful to have two beautiful and healthy babies! 

"Good Times"

So far this is summing up how our day is going... Ava is super loud and 
therefore Cole is fighting falling asleep! Let the good times roll! 

Pumpkin Patch...No....Costco Yes!

         Yesterday, I had the bright idea of us taking Ava to a pumpkin patch that had rides and all that good kind of stuff, and of course I told her that we were going to the pumpkin patch...
      well when we got there I found out it was going to cost us $8 bucks to get in plus the cost of tickets for the rides, which I have to say it was like a super small fair the kind where I wouldn't trust the rides as much as I would a real fair. So, being the broke people we are I said I can't imagine paying to get in and then spending money on tickets when I know we won't end up being there for long... cut to us leaving and Ava screaming in the back "pumpkins" with full blown crying! yikes! We felt super bad, so I told her let's go eat "pizza". We were going to go to Costco and one of her favorite things is pizza so I felt like this would lessen the blow. 
           As you can see the "pizza" thing worked, and the "pumpkins" were forgotten or at least until she goes to therapy later in life! And by the way before you think we are horrible parents for not just taking her, we are going to big Halloween safe street walk/thing on Friday which should be super fun! 

Only at a Vegas Park...

                               We all went to the park a few nights ago by our house, since the weather is wonderful here right now, and Grant spotted a celebrity of sorts...
                     He spotted Penn of Penn and Teller, sort of a celebrity right?
              And no I don't have a picture of him, Grant asked me if I wanted one, but to tell the truth I would only want one for the sake of the blog. And since I have heard they are sort of strange people I didn't want him to say something weird or rude to me if I asked. All in all, he was pretty "normal" with his two kids and wife, I mean besides the fact he is super tall with long Howard Stern ish hair and his kid is named Moxy Crimefighter, like I said "normal", I mean I do live in Vegas this is normal right? Well, as you can see Cole was not impressed and neither Ava so maybe he isn't a real celebrity, now if I saw Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie they might be impressed...maybe!

Our Mornings

                           We try every morning to go for a walk since the weather is so great right now.
                  When we are walking, Ava says "take picture" so I guess we are going to have lots of pictures of us taking walks, not to exciting! 
                When we get home we watch cartoons, while mommy can get some chores done.
                                          Even Cole enjoys watching a few cartoons! Well, this is Grant's last week off, and at least we are in a normal routine as far as mornings go,  Grant sleeps in the mornings and it's just me and the babies, hopefully I will be okay when he goes back, we will see!

Morning Walks

                      The weather has been so wonderful here, that we have started our morning walks!
          Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Ono I am able to walk both Cole and Ava together!
           Trying slowly to take off the  pregnancy pounds, thank goodness we have lots of up hill areas to walk around our neighborhood! 

Little Buddies!

  Yesterday afternoon Ava's best friend Chloe came over to play with her, they had so much fun together and were such silly girls! Actually the reason they came was so Chloe's mommy Tiffany could meet baby Cole. The girls played so much and were so loud that Cole didn't go to sleep until Chloe left, he was so exhausted from hearing his big sister and friend that he passed out! I look forward to our weekly get together at our house from now on for a while, it was nice not really having to watch two year olds like we have to when we go out. Instead we got to chat and watch The Hills!! Thanks Chloe and Tiffany for stopping by Ava was in need of a friend to hang out with! 

Dollhouse

Inching Closer..

There are only two ways to get Ava to be near her brother so far. Either he has to be in his bouncer or she has to be passed out on the coach, okay so that one doesn't happen much at all! Right now Ava LOVES the bouncer so even if Cole is in it she will sit near him and play with it. Thanks Auntie Denise for getting this for Cole! 

Auntie Sara

Today we got a package on our doorstep from Auntie Sara. Cole was super excited to get a personalized burp cloth with his name on it! We also got 3 super cute outfits to where, we are so excited to get them washed and and ready to wear. Thank you so much Auntie it is so fun to get something in the mail. We miss our Auntie sooooooo much it is always the worst part of living in Las Vegas we miss our friends and miss our Sara tons!  Well, as you can see Cole was overcome with excitement that he went ahead and passed out.

First Doctor Visit

Yesterday was Cole first doctor's visit. Everything went well, he has only lost 4 oz. since birth so that was good news and he is still a whole pound bigger with losing weight than Ava was at birth. Ava is still not wanting to kiss or be too close to her brother yet, she will talk about him and that's about it so far. Hopefully soon this will change. The picture of them on the coach is as close as she has gotten to him so far!! 

He's Here...

Cole Grant Ono arrived on Thursday October 2nd at 7:29 p.m. weighing in at a big 8lbs 1.2 oz. and 20 in. long. Everything went as good as it could go going threw labor but we are both healthy and happy. Right now Cole is pretty much in the eat, sleep and poop mode. His big sister Ava is very indifferent to him at the moment she talks about him but won't make the move to kiss him yet I am sure it will take some time. Hopefully, more awake pictures of Cole to come. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers with us last Thursday. By the way I am super swollen in the picture I was given more bags of water than most combined with the pitocin!! Yikes!
