YIKES!!

 Okay today was my two week appointment at the doctor's office, and well this picture says it all, yes I gained 4lbs. in the past two weeks! Yikes! So story of this box of donuts is a short one, Grant went to the store last night for some stuff and asked if I wanted anything and of course I said I wanted these donuts, well he came back at 730pm and now it's not quite 4pm and all but one is gone out of eight! When the nurse weighed me she was being nice and said it looks like your stomach popped out more, I wish this was the case but I told her it was my bottom that popped out more! So, Cole needs to get here fast before I gain too much more weight! My other yikes to this post is that I may be having Cole in 4 weeks!! She is most likely going to induce me, which doesn't bother me at all, I am already not sleeping, so Cole should just be here and me not be sleeping, right? In four weeks I will be at 39 weeks so he will be done baking by then. Now I am getting nervous for the birth but at least I have done it before! Oh, and if you are reading this post and are a person who has only gained 20-20lbs. in pregnancy~ we are not friends! J/K, sort of! 

Baby Shower For Cole!

Last Saturday was my baby shower for Cole! It was at my friend Tiffany's house, her, my mom and Jen all helped out with the details. It turned out great, it was small and intimate. All the ladies that were there are all apart of my mom's group, except for my friend Denise who came in from CA to come to the shower! Thanks Denise!!  We ate yummy food and and I opened gifts and we had some cake and good chit chat! My request was not to play a lot of games, I am so not a game person at wedding showers or baby showers, its not my thing! Thank you mom, Tiffany and Jen for putting together a great afternoon shower it was a great time! I would put up more pictures but the blogger is not letting me!  After the shower my parents kept Ava for the night and Denise and I went to see a girly movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and then went to dinner. The next day before she left we went to lunch at Jason's Deli and did a little shopping. It was a great girls weekend that I know I needed before Cole gets here I am sure that won't be happening for along time again! Thank you Denise for coming, it meant a lot! 

Daddy played hooky...

Okay, my title to this post is a little deceptive. I admit I asked Grant if he could come home early, I told him I wasn't feeling good because I didn't sleep good which is all very true, but I also was having some pregnancy hormone moments, Grant left today for the weekend and I thought it would be nice for us to see him a little before he left in the morning. So when he came home he thought we was just going to hang out with Ava while I napped but thats not what happened..we instead went to lunch at BJ's. I mean I gotta go get a pizookie once while I am pregnant right? So we ate lunch and did a couple errands. Went home and Ava took a nap and then I finally took one too, right after my pedicure! It was a great unplanned day together, and we got to hang out with daddy before he left. Tonight my friend Denise is coming in from Fresno for my baby shower tomorrow, it should be a fun girls weekend with out the husbands!   

Silly Girls!

Yesterday was our weekly get together with Ava's best friend Chloe and her mom Tiffany. We went to Red Rock Casino for breakfast and the girls had lots of fun they didn't get a lot of eating done but they did gets lots of playing and yelling and laughing done! We were cracking up because Tiffany said we were interrupting the senior citizens eating breakfast, since they were all around us since it is during the week! It was lots of fun and always fun to see the girls play together, I think they really are best friends!! 

Where you eat when you live in Vegas..

With only 7 weeks until my due date I have so not felt like cooking dinner. The solution..eat at a buffet of course! When you live here you can feed the family for fairly cheap, there is a casino near our house and last night was steak night so that's where we headed. We were cracking up at Ava eating her ice-cream cone, she is such her mama's daughter a total dessert eater! 

Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger!!

On Wednesday, Tiffany and Chloe and Ava and I decided to try out a new restaurant close to our houses, called "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger". It was really a cute restaurant inside it was like a 50's diner. There thing is you make your own cheeseburger or chicken sandwich and add whatever you want from a long list of toppings, but the best part is they have a super long list of milkshake choices that you can create your own shake! The girls kids meals were pretty cute too, their chicken fingers came in a 50's car. Overall, it was a cute place and a good one to bring kids too, but I think it was a little expensive for lunch, but I am sure we would go back for the shakes alone! By the way I have to say this, sorry my hair is looking so trashy it has been needing to get some of my naturally blond color put in, don't worry today is the day for that!

Okay so after our big lunch, we had to do a little shopping to walk some of it off! We headed to Kohl's and Target, and if you live in Las Vegas all you have to do is park your car and walk from the parking lot to the stores struggling with your two year old, and you have just burned at least 200 calories in sweat alone! Anyways, I had to post this picture of the girls in the shopping baskets at Target, Chloe looks so cute and funny, her hair is all crazy, she just took out her headband Tiffany had on her. Sorry, Tiffany hope your not upset for me posting a picture of your child with crazy hair!

Mystery Gift

We were/are super excited to receive Cole's car seat that we registered for from Babies R Us. It was delivered to our house today with no information on it but our address, we have no idea who to thank for this generous gift, if you are reading this post on my blog please leave a comment or email me and let us know it was you! Thank you out there whoever you are we are super excited to have gotten this today!! 

Lots of Toys!

Ava's thing is little figurine type toys, for example mickey mouses, minnies, "duckie", the McDonald's happy meal toys, well she has quite a collection going of all these toys and she has some baskets she puts them in to transport them around the house and upstairs, here is some pictures her daddy took last night of Ava with all the toys in her lap....

So here they went from her lap to the end table, we don't understand the mindset of how two year olds play but the toys are constantly being put in different places, it's pretty cute, we must say and fun to watch.  Sorry if this is a boring post but I am using my blog as a scrapbook of our lives and Ava's and I think this is something we will forget she did as a toddler. 

Our First Laptop!

Okay so my husband got it into his head that he really wanted a mac computer, don't ask me why...but he has been reading up on them and doing lots of investigating on them! He is so funny whenever he buys something "big" he wants to know about it, which is the smart thing to do. Me on the other hand I just buy, which isn't so smart! So we went to the apple store yesterday and bought our new toy! We are having lots of fun with it so far. I am sure we will be fighting over the laptop now in the evenings when we are both home! Good thing we still have a PC! If anyone has a mac let me know, do you like it what cool things do you do on your mac?

The Story of "Chickie"

I just had to blog the story of "chickie". He came to be at Easter time. My parents got Ava a basket filled with all sorts of toys and in one of the plastic eggs was what is now to be "chickie". Ava loves this little plastic wind up duck more than any other toy, I swear. He goes everywhere she goes, bath, grocery store, out of town, everywhere! She gives him kisses and drinks of water out of her sippy cup and also feeds him he will go in her applesauce bowl and cereal, he is well taken care of! The problem is both Grant and I know that chickie is one day going to get lost at the store or somewhere since the guy travels everywhere, and we can't seem to find a duplicate "chickie" anywhere, I think they are only around at Easter time??? If anyone has seen a wind up duck somewhere the cheap little plastic ones please let us know, we are in need of some back up "chickies"!

Swimming and Bar-B-Que Fun!

Yesterday evening we went over to my friend Jen's house for a bar-b-que and swimming and just hanging out. It was a really nice evening to relax and hang out with friends. They have an awesome backyard, that we are totally jealous of, a nice sized pool with a built in bar-b-que island that is above their pool. It was us and two other couples and their Children. Above is Haley Jen's daughter who is about a year older than Ava, and just enough older at this age to be Ava's boss, it was pretty funny, Ava just lets whoever be her boss and take her around, they were pretty funny together last night! The other picture is obviously Jen and Haley, very adorable!

Ava enjoyed the cupcakes that I made to take over, she got the frosting all over her body it was pretty funny, good thing she was outside eating it! Grant literally hosed her off with their backyard hose and wiped her down when she was done! Thank you Jen and BJ for letting us hang out with you guys at your house and feeding us!! We had a great time!
