Last weekend the New Orleans arena had an event called Touch A Truck. We thought this would be perfect for Ava she loves cars, buses, police cars etc. is always pointing them out when we are on the road.
Well it seemed Ava was less than thrilled about it at first. Our little girl who is crazy and never afraid of anything chose to be scared of everything there! She didn't want to go into any truck/car.
As we walked around we found the police horses, thank goodness! Of course she was happy to get to pet some horses.
She decided to take a tour in the ambulance with her daddy..
and take a drive in an off road jeep.
It was an awesome event that we will be going back to next year, I am sure Cole will love it and hopefully Ava will be more fond of it too!

Parents 35th Anniversary!
Monday we all went out to dinner at Red Lobster to celebrate my parents 35 years of marriage!
As you can see with a 3 year old and a 5 month old it's a wild and crazy time! Don't worry they celebrated on Saturday by themselves!
Ava colored a on a big poster and decorated it with stickers for my parents and we also put together a photo frame of pictures of Ava and Cole and of course made a cake! I am thankful for the example of commitment they have shown to me! Happy 35 parents! We all love you!

Beautiful Weather!
Now is the time to be outside in Vegas, because come June we will be inside!
Cole with his exersaucer out, watching his big sister play..
and color with some chalk.
We have also headed to the park several times but today I actually took a few pictures.
Cole watching his sister play.
We met Chloe and her mama at the park too!
Ava was excited that there were snakes and reptiles in the big sand box.
Ava and Chloe riding some horses!
Poor Cole has a big sister so he is forced to use some of her things that are girly, including the stroller!
Here is an inside picture of Cole climbing out of his bouncer seat. He is now at the point you have to strap him in everything or he gets out quick. These have been our days lately, I will have to try and take more pictures when we are out.

Birthday Party Bouncing!
Last weekend we went to Haley's 4th Birthday Party!
Haley is obviously the one with the Birthday Crown! Haley is turned 4 and her brother Cameron just turned 5 a few months ago, he had a bounce house with a slide for his birthday party and Haley got the same for her day.
Ava loved every minute of the bounce house, climbing in the big house..
and going in again..
and coming out on the slide!
Poor Cole could only watch his sister have all the fun! Soon enough we will have two little ones to worry about! Thanks for inviting us Haley we had a great time!

Sick Times, Pretend Park, and Sweet Potatoes!
It's been a while since my last blog, so here is a few things that have been going on in the last few days. Cole and Ava both got colds, so we stayed home for a few days to get better. Here is sick little Ava she looks so sad. Glad to say we are all better now.
Instead of going to the real park where I have to load the kids up and take the stroller we walked over to a small area in our neighborhood with some park benches and dessert landscape. I told Ava we were going to the park and it pretty much worked, we had fun playing with her animals.
Now when I tell her to smile for the camera she busts out into some crazy poses! Oh and when we left our "pretend park" she asked when we were going to the park, so I guess she knew it wasn't really a park after all.
Here is Cole at the "pretend park".
A few days ago I introduced Cole to his first food besides rice cereal, some yummy sweet potatoes! I was waiting for some kind of big reaction to the new flavor he was eating but he just acted like he has ate them since birth! He has had no trouble eating a whole container either! He is now weighing in around 18 lbs and has just turned 5 months old!
Here is Ava with another one of her crazy poses for the camera, playing animals again her favorite thing right now but she is also into fake food and making you food to "eat"! Well I think I am caught up on the last week days. Be on the look out for my potty training blogs!
